Types of Roles
CHERRY PICKER
Cherry pickers work under the supervision of the farm manager. Experienced pickers are preferred. New pickers are welcomed and will be trained by the supervisor before starting picking. Our cherries are all picked by hand with pickers wearing picking buckets and climbing ladders to reach the fruit. Fruits need to be handled gently and efficiently. Work starts from midnight or daybreak and finishes around lunchtime before the extreme afternoon heat.
Wages: Casual piecework rate under the Horticulture Award.
FARM QUALITY SUPERVISOR
You must be a great communicator and fast thinker with effective time management and problem-solving skills. You’ll monitor picking in the farm and ensure that good-quality fruits are delivered. You’ll make sure all pickers handle picking with a gentle practice and coordinate with the farm manager and labour contractor to solve problems on site. Previous experience preferred.
Wages: Casual hourly rate under the Horticulture Award.
ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT
We’re looking for staff with a wide range of administration skills to assist with the smooth running of the business. You must be able to manage work under pressure during the intensive harvest season. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and relevant experience are all highly regarded. Experience in export airfreight logistics and/or domestic e-commerce is preferred.
Wages: Casual hourly rate (depending on experience) under the Horticulture Award.
